I’m sorry

For all the pain I caused you, 

You deserved much better than me…

Every joy and peace in the world, 

But I failed to be the one you need… 


I’m sorry 

For the harsh words I spoke to you, 

I should’ve expressed love

I should’ve sung sweet melodies. 


I’m sorry, 

For the absence I showed you, 

Through tough times I left you alone, 

Be careless with your feelings

Stay blind to your wounds. 


I’m sorry, 

For the burden I put on you, 

I should’ve let you go

Should’ve heeded my intuition

Everything it warned, was always true.


 I’m sorry, 

For being too rude to you, 

For making you a workaholic

And wanting things to get done on time,

Leading you to a depressed life. 


I’m sorry, 

For being too mood-less and rendering you an enemy of the people, 

For isolating you from the ones who care

And pushing you to the edge of despair.


 I’m sorry, 

But good things take a sacrifice, 

I have to get to the top of it, dear self, 

Even if it means losing myself. 


I’m sorry

I won’t stop apologizing until my breath runs out, 

There were signs I missed, 

Truths I refused to see, 

But I’m only left with regrets…

SHATTERED DREAMS

Once, when I was young, I felt really happy. People like my family, teachers, and even stories told me I could do anything I wanted in life. They said, "You could be an engineer, a pilot, or whatever you liked." But as time passed, I learned that these were just empty hopes and lies in my country. The truth is, I can't be any of those things. I've seen other kids in school saying the same things I used to say when I was young – "I want to be a pilot, I want to be an engineer."
