GRATITUDE IN THE STILLNESS OF THE NIGHT

Oh Lord, I'm so grateful for this night,

For the calmness it brings and the starry sight,

I thank you for this peace that fills my heart.

For the cool breeze that dances through the trees,

And the gentle rustling of leaves,

I'm so thankful for all that you impart.

For the fireflies that twinkle like stars,

And the crickets that sing near and far,

I praise you for your love that never departs.

For the moon that shines so bright,

And the shadows that bring such delight,

I'm grateful for your grace that always shines bright.

For the rest that this evening brings,

And the sleep that I'll soon be in,

I thank you for your care and all your blessings.

For the protection that surrounds me now,

And the safety that I vow,

I'm so thankful for your peace and calmness.

For the end of this day so fine,

And the start of another in line,

I praise you, my Lord, for all that's divine.

So I close this day with thanks and love,

For all the gifts from heaven above,

I'm grateful for your grace and mercy from above.

At times we have found ourselves gloomy about our lives Depressed up to a point where we feel that there is no divinity. Everyday sleeping late at the mid nights and waking up at early at dawns Just to limit time required by poverty to destroy us before our spells arrive - We fear sleep, for the more we do it, the poorer we become. Once, when I was young, I felt really happy. People like my family, teachers, and even stories told me I could do anything I wanted in life.
